27 Weeks

It hasn't been fun being pregnant during this heat wave the past week. It's like having a huge heater strapped on the front of you and it's SUPER fun sweating in places you never have before!;) I have been trying to stay cool in the AC and limit my trips outside. I am SO glad that it was cooler outside today...and by cooler I mean 85....but hey, I'll take it.

I am feeling okay this week. I've been having some cramping really low on my right side when I get up too fast or roll from my right to left side quickly when I am laying down...it's not fun. I also have been feeling REALLY full after I eat. Almost like I need to take deep breaths or something to make room...it's weird.
One more thing to report....Landon is still kicking my bladder ALL the time....it's a fun game for him!;)

Other than that, I had another doctor's appointment this week. His heartbeat was in the 140's and everything sounded good. I am still measuring for October 6th. Although, my doctor brought up something cool. She jokingly said if I can hold the baby in for an additional 5 days he could have an awesome birthday-
10-11-12. Which, would be really neat...too bad you can't pick your baby's birthday!:)

Just for fun;)

Happy 4th!

It was a low key Fourth of July for us this year. I had some things that I wanted to get done around the house, so we decided to lounge around at home, get a few projects done, watch movies and BBQ some chicken and corn later in the day. We got to people watch everyone heading downtown to the parade from our deck in the morning, but were to lazy to head down ourselves...it has been harder and harder for me to handle the heat lately. Next year when Landon is here, we will definitely head down for all of the major events...they are very kid friendly....but for now we decided to enjoy our last responsibility free Fourth and be lazy!;)

Here are some pictures from the day. I spent the morning washing all of Landon's 3 & 6 month sleepers. It was a big job, but it was nice to lay it out and see what we still need. I am thinking we are pretty set on 0-3, but I need to stock up on some more 6 month and up. I still haven't washed any of his hanging "outfits" in his closet and I've decided since that would be an even bigger job I might just do it as he wears them!:)

Here are some pictures of Chuck. He has been cracking us up lately. He likes to people watch almost as much as we do!;)

He has a very rough life:)

What's this I hear about a baby brother coming soon?!

26 Weeks!:)

6 and a half months!!! Less than 100 days now. Feels good to be under that 100 day mark. I am getting SO excited to meet our little guy. I keep having dreams about him. Holding him for the first time. I just can't wait!:)

I am feeling great. My only complaint is that he has found my bladder and loves to kick it as much as he can. Full or not, in his way or not, he loves to kick it...ugh. I never know how that its going to end, so I feel like sometimes I am running to the bathroom. Not sure if its because of where he is right now or not...but it is a little annoying!

How far along? 26 weeks.
Total weight gain: I will get the weigh in this week at my next doctor's appointment.

  • Her eyes are forming, and his eyes will soon start to open.
  • And her eyelashes are now grown, too.
  • She's getting her immune system ready for life on the outside by soaking up your antibodies.
  • She's taking breaths, too. They're of amniotic fluid, not air, but it's still good practice.

25 Weeks and Belly Shots!:)

Yay! Finally got the belly shots taken today!:) It took a little while to figure out how to add the 6th finger in for the 6th month shot...but I think we finally figured it out so it doesn't look like I am flashing a gun with my pointer finger!;)

I found my dress for my shower yesterday!:) I have been looking for a few weeks, thought I found one at Pea in the Pod, but then my mom showed me one at Parisian yesterday and I tried it on and loved it. It's Kenneth Cole and NOT maternity, so I bought a size up. It has some stretch to it and I am *hoping* it fits in a month. I mean it's not like I am going to lay off the chocolate or anything;)...I am just counting on the dress having some give to it!:)

I honestly wish that I could be 5-6 months pregnant the entire pregnancy. The first few months are not fun, the last month or two is just plain uncomfortable, but month 5 and 6 have been a breeze. I am definitely growing each day, and it is slowly getting harder to do stuff, but I am feeling great and feeling him move a ton and I LOVE it!:) We'll talk again at the end of August...I know my feelings will change!;)

How far along? 25 weeks.

24 Weeks...err...Almost 25

I totally missed the boat on the 24 week post...oops! I had a cold at the beginning of this week...which kind of sucked, but, by Wednesday I was feeling better. Then it was time to catch up on everything else around here!!!! But, I am officially 6 months!!! Pictures to come soon...

I am feeling really HUGE lately, but, Landon has been moving like CRAZY, so if I have to get bigger to feel him more then that is fine by me! I also had a really strange craving this week...ham, chive cream cheese and pickles...yes, all together....I can't say that I HAVE EVER had all of those things together before...but it was delicious!:)

Travis has been really good about rubbing my back everyday and running to any and every fast food place to get me all of the things that I HAVE TO HAVE at 9, 10, 11 at night. What can I say? He is the best, plus I always blame it on the fact that it's what his son wants to eat!;)

How far along? 24 weeks.
Total weight gain: DEFINITELY over 10 lbs!
Symptoms: Just plain feeling H-U-G-E!
Maternity clothes? Almost everything...still trying to rock my pre-preggo sweatpants:)
Best moment of this week: Having Trav feel Landon a bunch on Father's Day!
Food cravings: Honestly, ANYTHING that doesn't eat me first!
What I miss: Just any and every alcohol in general!;)

  • Her see-through skin is gradually becoming more opaque.
  • And it's got a new pink glow, thanks to the small capillaries that have recently formed.

Landon's Nursery!!!!!

Okay, here are the pictures that I have been promising!!! We got the crib and the changer/dresser this week. Long story short, Buy Buy Baby not only delivered it for free, but they set it up for free, so that was a major score for us!:)

We went with a white convertible crib (that will eventually turn into toddler bed and then a full size bed) and  a 6 drawer dresser that has a changer on top for now. We are really happy with how they look. Our glider is white wood with a chocolate suede cover that we found at Target.

Our (ahem...discontinued after we registered for it) bedding is from Buy Buy Baby. We love it, the only downside is it came with a lamp and changing pad cover that matched the bedding set, but other than that, not one matching wall hanging, pillow etc. EXISTS out there. So, I had to brainstorm ways to make some matching decor. I ended up covering several different sized canvases in the coordinating receiving blankets. Then I purchased an EXTRA bumper, cut out the owl/leaves/snail and added it to the wall art. Then I took the rest of the remaining bumper and covered it with more matching receiving blankets and added a leftover owl and snail to make pillows. Oh, and we painted letters and added his name above his crib!:)

Here is where we are so far:
What do you think?

23 Weeks!

Feeling good and Landon has stayed off of my sciatic nerve (for the most part) this week, so that has been great. I have been trying to keep myself busy now that I am off work for the Summer. I made a list of things that I want to get done for him but I am noticing that it's getting a little harder to move around these days. Several people have told me that I look bigger and I am definitely thinking he is going through a major growth spurt this week!;)

  • She's forming little nipples (yeah, really!)
  • Her face is fully formed now -- she just needs a little extra fat to fill it out.
  • She's listening to your voice and your heartbeat -- and even to loud sounds like cars honking and dogs barking.
And just for fun...here are a few onesies I made for him this week:

22 Weeks!

Still feeling pretty good. Although Landon has discovered my sciatic nerve and he has had a blast hanging out on it this week. I have always dealt with lower back pain...but OH MAN....this is a whole new pain. Sometimes when he is really on it I can barley stand upright and I have to walk around haunched over in pain until he moves off of it. It hasn't been fun....but I am trying to just take it easy and stay seated when it happens.

The crib will be delivered Tuesday!!!! I will post pictures of his room so far this week...so stay tuned!:)
