27 Weeks

It hasn't been fun being pregnant during this heat wave the past week. It's like having a huge heater strapped on the front of you and it's SUPER fun sweating in places you never have before!;) I have been trying to stay cool in the AC and limit my trips outside. I am SO glad that it was cooler outside today...and by cooler I mean 85....but hey, I'll take it.

I am feeling okay this week. I've been having some cramping really low on my right side when I get up too fast or roll from my right to left side quickly when I am laying down...it's not fun. I also have been feeling REALLY full after I eat. Almost like I need to take deep breaths or something to make room...it's weird.
One more thing to report....Landon is still kicking my bladder ALL the time....it's a fun game for him!;)

Other than that, I had another doctor's appointment this week. His heartbeat was in the 140's and everything sounded good. I am still measuring for October 6th. Although, my doctor brought up something cool. She jokingly said if I can hold the baby in for an additional 5 days he could have an awesome birthday-
10-11-12. Which, would be really neat...too bad you can't pick your baby's birthday!:)

How far along? 27 weeks.
Total weight gain: Almost :gulp: 20lbs!!!
Symptoms: Just plain feeling H-U-G-E!

Best moment of this week: Getting to hear his heartbeat.

What I am looking forward to: My glucose test is this week and I am hoping to PASS!:)
Your baby's the size of a rutabaga!
At 13.6 to 14.8 inches and 1.5 to 2.5 pounds, she's not just getting bigger, she's getting smarter.
your baby at 27 weeks
  • She's practicing inhaling and exhaling with her rapidly developing lungs.
  • It's official: Baby's showing brain activity! And her brain will keep on getting more complex.

And for fun a pic of Melissa and I from her shower today showing off our bumps!:)
