Had my doctor's appointment this past Wednesday. I found out that he IS HEAD DOWN (Yay!) and I am 1cm dilated. I know that 1cm is nothing, but I wasn't expecting to be dilated at ALL so that was a little shocking. Especially when the doctor said I could go in a few weeks or ANY day now!!!! Yikes. Good thing Travis cleaned out both cars and installed our car seat bases this week!:)
I also found out that he is around 6lbs right now. She estimates that he will be around 7lbs which I was SO HAPPY to hear. She said that she would be really surprised if he was over the mid 7's @ birth...so it was good news all around.
I am not going to lie I have been a little freaked out since my appointment. Not that I don't want him to come, I do, very much so. I really can't wait to see him, hold him, kiss him all of that good stuff. I just never really opened my mind to the idea that he would be here in September!!! For real, I would joke that it would be cool if he came before or on my b-day on the 15th, but I NEVER REALLY HONESTLY thought that would happen.
It would be nice to make it through two more weeks of work at least. But, I know he will come when he comes and all will be good. I will keep you all posted. I am anxious to hear what I will be dilated to this Friday at my next appointment...last chance to make your guess in our game. I've added it to the side bar if you want to play!:)
How far along? 36 weeks.
Total weight gain: I feel like it fluctuates based on swelling, but the weigh in @ the doc has me at 35lbs...so we will go with that!:)
Symptoms: Feeling large, out of breath and bending is out of the question!:)
Maternity clothes? Feeling like NOTHING fits!
Best moment of this week: Finding out he is in the right position and is going to be smaller than I thought!:)
Food cravings: Milk (gag...HE wants it not me) and donuts. Packing on the lbs!:)
What I miss: Just being able to do anything without sweating, breathing heavy or being in pain!
What I am looking forward to: My appointment this week to see if I am dilated any more!
Your baby's the size of a honeydew!
She's still in the 17.2- to 18.7-inch and 4.2- to 5.8-pound range and continues to beef up.
your baby at 36 weeks
- She's getting closer and closer to being able to breathe on her own.
- Her skin is getting smooth and soft and her gums are rigid.
- Her liver and kidneys are in working order.
- Circulation and immune systems are basically good to go, too.

ReplyDeleteReyna looked at these pictures and said, "oh my gosh, look at Aunt Kristin's belly!" She was also able to notice (on her own) how your belly was small and it grew bigger and bigger. I explained to her that it is almost done growing. eeeeekkk!!! Love you!!
